Privacy policy

Nervous System Nudge is a closed test run by Siftware Ltd (the data controller). This policy covers the Nervous System Nudge Garmin watch app and iPhone app.

What the apps collect

• From the watch: heart rate, the time between heartbeats (heart rate variability), Garmin's stress score, movement and step counts, battery level, and the basic profile from your Garmin settings (birth year, sex, height, weight, resting heart rate, fitness level, usual sleep and wake times).
• From you: answers to "What's going on?", check-ins, quick logs (for example water, coffee, meds taken), and any optional profile answers.
• Not collected: location, contacts, names or doses of medicine, payment details. No advertising or analytics trackers.

How it moves

The watch sends data to the Nervous System Nudge iPhone app over the Garmin Connect link. The watch app on its own sends nothing anywhere else. The iPhone app keeps a copy on the phone and, only after you join the test with an invite and agree to take part, uploads it encrypted to Siftware's own server in the UK. It is not sent to any cloud service or AI service.

Why

To run the test: to nudge you, and to learn and improve how the app spots you ramping up. Not sold, not used for advertising, not shared with anyone else.

Lawful basis

Health data is special category data under UK GDPR. We rely on your explicit consent, given in the iPhone app before any upload.

Storage and retention

Stored encrypted on Siftware's server, with encrypted backups that expire after 30 days. Kept while the test runs; deleted when you ask or when the test ends, unless you agree otherwise.

Your rights

You can see, correct, get a copy of, or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time: in the iPhone app (Settings, Account and data, Stop and delete my data) or by contacting us. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Not a medical device

Nervous System Nudge does not diagnose, treat or monitor any condition.

These pages set no cookies, load nothing from anyone else and run no analytics. The server keeps standard access logs (time, address, page) to keep it running.
